8 Mobile Marketers That Will Teach You To Create A Killer Mobile Marketing Strategy

There are TONS of incredible mobile marketers who I follow and admire.

Below are 8 who will teach you how to kick ass adding mobile to your marketing mix.

Each of these individuals are on the verge of big things. Many of them have already accomplished incredible things. Follow each of them now so you can say “I knew them when.” :)

We’d also love to hear who you would add to this list in the comments below. We’re looking for mobile marketing minds who can help our readers add mobile marketing strategies and initiatives to help grow their business, leverage mobile as a marketing vehicle and get results.

In no particular order, here are 7 of my favorite mobile marketers:

Jeff Hasen

Jeff has been actively promoting his new book Mobilized Marketing: How To Drive Sales, Engagement and Loyalty Through Mobile Devices and producing some great posts on his blog as well as all over the web. I had the chance to meet Jeff personally and he is a great guy and is probably one of the most respected mobile marketers out there right now.

His new book is a great read and he dives deep into a lot of case studies from many of his clients at Hip Cricket as to “why” they chose the strategy they did and further detailing how businesses should be looking to mobile to help grow their own busienss. This book is a must read for any mobile marketer and frankly any agency that is trying to get into mobile. If you’re getting into mobile now, don’t act like you know. Jeff does. So learn from him.

Cindy Krum

Cindy is the founder and Mobile SEO ninja at Mobile Moxie and author of Mobile Marketing: Finding Your Customers No Matter Where They Are. She’s worked with brig brands like MTV and Kayak helping them with their mobile SEO strategy. She’s also been on the show so check out that interview here.

I’m lucky to be closer friends with Cindy seeing that we’re both located in Denver and all I can say is she knows her stuff. She speaks all over the world ( I often joke that she is never even in Denver to hang out) talking about mobile and specifically Mobile SEO which is key for big brand retailers and businesses going mobile. Nothing but respect for what she does and definitely a must follow!

She also has some amazing mobile marketing tools on her site. Important for any business looking to go mobile.

Kane Russell

Kane is the VP of Marketing at Waterfall Mobile and believe he is really one of the leaders (that I personally know) that is looking to change how mobile and social tie to CRM for enterprise type clients. My interview with Kane was very fun and educational and he produces tons of great content on a regular basis on the Waterfall Mobile blog.

Jared Reitzin

Jared is another must follow mobile marketer and entrepreneur. Jared is the CEO of mobileStorm, a mobile marketing agency and a pioneer in the mobile health industry. He’s been one of the mobile marketers I’ve been following for years. He gets it when it comes to strategy and has continusouly demonstrated delivering results for his clients and his team at mobileStorm.

Luke Wroblewski

If you haven’t heard of LukeW and you’re involved in mobile then you should be ashamed of yourself. Luke is one of if not the pioneer when it comes to designing for mobile experiences. He wrote a book called Mobile First which everyone involved in mobile and even marketing should. His insights, stats and detailed explanations are always on point.

He’s been Chief Design Architect at Yahoo Inc,  was Lead User Interface Designer at eBay , and started a company called Bagcheck which was acquired by Twitter 9 months after launching.

I’m a huge fan of his writing and a supporter of the Mobile First movement he’s started. I’ll be trying to get him on the show down the road.

Amit Shah

Amit is the Senior Director of Online, Mobile & Social Media at 1800 Flowers. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a mobile commerce event here in Denver and even got to share “mobile stories” over lunch. Amit is truly fasncinating and knows his stuff when it comes to mobile. He’s helped 1800 Flowers become what I believe to be one of the most effective mobile marketing brands.

I was delighted to discuss the 1800 Flowers mobile marketing initiatives and the depth of planning and testing they put in place to achieve their desired results.

Brad Frost

When it comes to mobile design Brad is another mobile guy that comes to mind. Sometimes I call him the new LukeW. He is a mobile web strategist and front end designer at R/GA in NY. He speaks on mobile web best practices and has plenty of resourceful presentations on Slideshare that you should check out if you’re into mobile web strategy.

I recently connected with him via Linkedin and am looking to have him on the show soon.

Jamie Turner

Jamie was recently on the show and so fun to chat with about his book, Go Mobile. I had to include Jamie in this list because of the way he approaches mobile as demonstrated by his book. The way he laid out his book, Go Mobile, is super friendly for any small to medium sized business trying to get started in mobile.

I highly recommend it to anyone getting started and looking for ways to leverage mobile to grow their business.
